St Johnson Primary School

St Johnson Primary School is located in Wakiso District. It is seven Kilometers from Kampala. It is a private, orphanage that was founded by the late Kamulegeya. In 1994 it was officially registered and the Ssejinja Children's Foundation committed and pledged to sponsor the school and improve its academic curriculum through the provision of books, pens, pencils, paper, computers, clothing and school upgrade.

The schools objectives are:

  1. To promote primary education to all children in the area and in the country at large.
  2. To promote basic education for self-reliance, teaching skills, hand crafts and home economics.
  3. To promote and support education of orphans.
  4. To develop and support girl child education.

The school has competent and well organized teachers. The school identifies the talents of pupils in different aspects through music, dance, drama, and sports. The school has received volunteer teachers from the Ssejinja Children's Foundation headquarters in America.
