Current Needs:
- Student Sponsorships: $47.50 (school fee) + $2.50 (for other sponsorship expenses) = $50/month
- Teacher Sponsorships: $60 (monthly salary) + $2.50 (for other sponsorship expenses)= $62.50/month
- Teacher housing and dormitory expansion
- Security Fencing
- Volunteers in Bira, to recruit other sponsors
- Churches in the Ggenda,Katosi and Bira villages to speak about Ssejinja Foundation’s sponsorship program and support the schools
Ssejinja Children foundation Agriculture Program
Needs:
- Green house, small plot of land or flower beds for seed plating with security
- Specific community target area, with the approval/interest of the community and city
- Thorough gardening research in both Ggenda villages area and Mukono area to determine which plants are best
- Maintain comprehensive programs in Ggenda villages with post-gardening workshops for food. For example, canning and cooking and mango production in Uganda.
Construction and Vocational Program Outline of the Ssejinja foundation special education school
Program Description:
Needs:
- Certified teachers and licensed contractors, possibly from church and organization contacts.
- Location and curriculum for classes to teach construction basic, perhaps through local licensed construction program and/or school
- US Project Ideas: carpentry, plumbing, basic construction
Uganda Project Ideas: brick laying, carpentry, basic construction [particularly for building additions onto Bira Village’s land for a guesthouse/church, with the help of donations and volunteers]
